# Marble Trace > Marble Trace is a free, open-source telemetry overlay for iRacing on Windows. A small Rust core reads the sim's shared-memory telemetry, and 28 widgets are drawn in one transparent window across all monitors. Layouts switch automatically per session, and any layout can also be opened on a phone, a tablet, a second PC or an OBS browser source over the local network. Licensed GPL-3.0-or-later, no subscription, no account. ## Key facts - Simulator: iRacing (the telemetry layer is multi-sim by design) - Platform: Windows 10/11, installer `Marble Trace__x64-setup.exe` - Price: free; license GPL-3.0-or-later - Stack: Rust + Tauri 2 backend, React 19 + MobX frontend - Telemetry: official iRacing SDK shared memory only, read-only — the same data every overlay uses - Privacy: anonymous launch analytics via Aptabase; no personal data, no iRacing telemetry leaves the PC - Download: https://github.com/mvoof/Marble-Trace/releases/latest - Source: https://github.com/mvoof/Marble-Trace - Community: https://discord.gg/GVaRsHbjxV ## Widgets - Driving HUD: Race Dash, Invisible Dash, RPM Lights, Engine Panel, Battery, DRS, Input Trace, G-Meter, Coach - Timing & standings: Standings, Relative, Relative Map, Delta HUD, Sector Matrix, Lap Log, Timer - Awareness: Track Map, Proximity Radar, Radar Bar, Close Battle, Wheel to Wheel, Flags (LED and flat) - Car & session: Pit Service, Pit Line, Fuel calculator, Weather - Streaming: Stream Chat ## Layouts and screens - A visual layout editor places widgets across every monitor; each widget has its own position, scale, opacity and columns. - Several layouts (practice, qualifying, race, garage) switch automatically by session type or by a hotkey / wheel button. - Remote screens: a layout monitor served over the LAN to any browser — phone, tablet, laptop, second PC or an OBS Browser Source with a transparent background. Open by link or QR code; nothing is installed on the device. Links carry a regenerable access token; devices can only watch and cannot change settings. `?widget=` isolates one widget for its own OBS source. - Keyboard shortcuts and controller/wheel buttons (DirectInput) are bindable to app actions. ## Docs - [README — full widget reference](https://github.com/mvoof/Marble-Trace/blob/main/README.md) - [Releases and changelog](https://github.com/mvoof/Marble-Trace/releases) - [Website](https://marbletrace.com/)
